Turkey Pumpkin Dog Treats

These easy turkey pumpkin dog treats make a great low carb and grain free dog treat for Fall. Bake them in the oven or have fun with a Dash Dog Treat Maker.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 16 oz ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 large eggs
  • ½ cup cranberries fresh or sugar free dried

Instructions
 

  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. If you are using fresh cranberries, pop them with a fork or sharp knife.

Cook in a Dash Dog Treat Maker

  • Preheat the treat maker as per the manufacturers instructions
  • Lightly spray the surface of the treat maker with cooking oil.
  • Spoon the turkey mixture into the bone shapes and close the lid.
  • Cook for 5 minutes until golden and remove with silicone tongs.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Bake in the Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Form walnut shape balls from the mixture and place them on the baking tray. Lightly flatten them.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, and turn them over half way through cooking.
