Ingredients

  • 1 apples

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash the apples to remove any dirt or pesticide residue. Core the apples and remove all seeds, as they are toxic to dogs.
  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline slicer to cut the apples into thin slices, about 1/8-inch thick. Thin slices ensure even cooking and a crispy texture.
  • Set the air fryer to 300°F (150°C) and preheat for 2–3 minutes.
  • Place the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping to ensure even airflow. Use parchment paper if your air fryer tends to stick.
  • Cook at 300°F (150°C) for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on the chips to prevent burning.
  • Let the apple chips cool completely before serving them to your dog. The chips will crisp up further as they cool.

Notes

Makes 6 servings with a serving being 2 apple chips.
Store leftover apple chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
