Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken feet
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or other dog friendly oil

Instructions

  • Trim the chicken feet if the toe nails are still on them. Wash and clean the feet.
  • Drain the chicken feet and pat dry.
  • Preheat the air fryer according to the manufacturers instructions.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  • Place the chicken feet in a single layer and spray with oil.
  • Use the dehydrate function if available. If not, set the lowest possible temperature, ideally between 140-170°F (around 60-77°C).
  • Start with a longer time, like 6-12 hours, checking periodically.
  • Allow to cool before giving out the crunchy treat.
  • Do NOT exceed 150°F (65°C) to prevent the bones from cooking and becoming brittle and splintery.

Notes

Always check with your veterinarian before introducing any new foods into your dog’s diet.
