Banana Carrot Treats for Dogs

Easy banana carrot dog treats are made in a Dash dog treat maker but can be baked too. Grain free and loved by our dogs!

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1/4 cup finely shredded carrot
  • 1 medium ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon ginger

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients into a medium mixing bowl and mix into a dough. If the mixture is too dry, add water to bind. If it is too wet, add more flour.
  • Cut the dough into 8 pieces and roll into logs to fit into the bone shapes of the dog treat maker.
  • Preheat the treat maker as per the manufacturers instructions
  • Lightly spray the surface of the treat maker with cooking oil.
  • Place the dough logs into the bone shapes and close the lid.
  • Cook for 5 to 8 minutes until golden and remove with silicone tongs.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Makes 8 large bone shaped treats.  You may be able to get 10 to 12 with a smaller amount placed in the bone shape.
