  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the lean ground beef and egg. Mix well.
  • Add the flour and work into almost a breadcrumb like mixture.
  • Pour in the water and work the mixture into a dough.
  • Roll out dough to about ¼-inch thick on a floured surface and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter or slice into squares.
  • Or scoop the mixture into small balls and press down to make a circular shape snack.
  • Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, until firm and golden.
  • Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Makes about 40–50 small (1-inch) treats, 20–25 medium (2-inch), or 12–15 large (3-inch) depending on cutter size.
For crunchier biscuits, turn off the oven and let treats sit inside while it cools.
