Duck Liver Sweet Potato Dog Treats

These homemade duck liver dog treats are a nutritious, protein-packed snack made with sweet potato and oat flour. Easy, healthy, and dog-approved.

  • Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • In a bowl, combine the mashed duck liver, mashed sweet potato, and egg. Stir until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually mix in the oat flour until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Adjust consistency if needed.
  • Roll the dough to about ½ inch thickness. We roll the mixture in between 2 layers of parchment paper for ease of use and less mess.
  • Cut out treats using a bone shape cutter and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping over halfway through baking.
  • Allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack before storing:

Notes

We cook the duck liver before use, by boiling for 5 to 7 minutes until cooked through. Cool and blend before use.
Makes 2 medium sized treats
Due to richness, feed in moderation, especially for puppies or small dogs.
