  • In a small saucepan, combine the turmeric and water.
  • Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture forms a thick paste. This usually takes about 5–7 minutes.
  • Stir in the coconut oil and continue mixing until fully combined.
  • Add the ground ginger (if using) and black pepper, stirring well to distribute evenly.
  • Remove from the heat and allow the paste to cool completely.
  • Transfer the golden paste to a clean jar or airtight container.
