Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 lb lean ground pork
  • 1 oz pork liver, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 oz grated carrots
  • 2 oz green beans
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tableaspoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups water or dog friendly stock
  • 3 oz canned sardines in water

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground pork and cook until browned.
  • Add the liver and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the brown rice, carrots, green beans, turmeric, flaxseed, ginger and water. Stir well.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30–35 minutes until the rice is cooked and liquid absorbed.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the eggs (they will cook in the residual heat), sardines, and parsley.
  • Let the mixture cool completely before serving or storing.
