Apple Cinnamon Doggie Donuts

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a donut pan or use silicone molds.
  • Peel and grate the apple.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together rice flour and cinnamon.
  • In a bowl the egg, apple cider vinegar, applesauce and melted coconut oil. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the grated apple to the wet ingredient mixture.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until well combined. If the dough is too dry, add some water.
  • Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until firm to the touch.
  • Cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

Makes 6 large donuts, baked in a silicone pan.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
We decorated ours with a drizzle of natural yogurt.
