Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple sauce homemade or sugar free
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated plain and unflavored
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or grease it lightly to prevent sticking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rice flour and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Add the eggs, applesauce and Greek yogurt. Mix well until everything is well incorporated and you have a smooth batter.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  • Bake the pupcakes in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove the pupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, you can serve the apple cheddar pupcakes to your furry friend. You can also top them with a small dog friendly frosting for an extra special touch.
