  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Ensure that the chicken is cooked and finely chopped or shredded. Steam the broccoli until soft, then chop it into small, dog-friendly pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, egg, cheddar cheese and coconut flour. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a little water or coconut oil one tablespoon at a time, until the dough is workable.
  • Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into balls, or flatten them into small cookie shapes. You can also use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
  • Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch.
  • Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog. Store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.

Notes

This recipe made 60 small bite sized treats with a serving being 3 treats.
