Chicken Sardine Cat Treats

A simple, protein-rich homemade cat treat made with sardines, lean chicken, and egg. These easy baked bites are naturally flavourful, highly nutritious, and perfect for rewarding your cat with a wholesome snack they’ll love.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 3.5 oz canned sardines in water
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground chicken
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 175C/350F degrees.
  • Drain the canned sardines in water, add to a bowl with the cooked chicken and egg.
  • Mash well until smooth. For a smoother mixture, blend the ingredients in a food processor.
  • Spread the mixture out into a silicone treat mold OR scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into tiny balls or flatten them slightly into bite-sized pieces.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until firm. For a crunchier treat, leave the treats in the switched-off oven for 15–20 minutes after baking.
  • Let the treats cool completely before serving to your cat.

Using a small treat mold, this recipe make over 150 treats. We have allowed a serving of 3 treats for the nutritional information.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2–3 months and thaw before serving. Always allow treats to cool completely before storing.
