In a pot, add all the ingredients and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for about 25–30 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Remove from the heat and shred the chicken breast.
Let cool before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze in portions.
Slow Cooker Method
Add all ingredients to the slow cooker and pour in enough water to cover.
Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
Shred the chicken, mix well, and let cool before serving.
Instant Pot Method
Place chicken, liver, vegetables and water into the Instant Pot.
Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes with a quick release.
Shred the chicken, stir everything together and let cool before serving
