Place the ground beef and chopped parsley in a medium mixing bowl and mix together to form two patties.
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
Cook the burger patties thoroughly on the grill or skillet, flipping occasionally, until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach at least 160°F (71°C) to ensure food safety.
If you are adding a cheese slice, put it on top of the burger during the last minute of cooking.
Let the burger patties cool slightly before serving. You can serve them plain or with dog friendly toppings such as yogurt, sliced cucumbers or strawberries. We served ours on a coconut flour dog friendly bun.
Baking the burger
If you prefer to bake your burger, place the burger patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Bake the burgers in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 190C/375F degrees or until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach at least 160°F (71°C) to ensure food safety.
