Homemade Chicken Liver Cat Treats

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2/3 cup chicken liver
  • 1 tablespoon catnip optional
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Rinse the chicken livers thoroughly under cold water to remove any residue.
  • Place the chicken livers, egg, oat flour and catnip in a food processor. Puree until the mixture is smooth.
  • Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and smooth out evenly.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the mixture is firm.
  • Allow to cool then using a knife or pizza cutter, cut into small bite sized shapes. Cats prefer small, easy-to-chew pieces.
  • Store in an air tight container and give as an occasional treat.

Notes

This recipe makes about 30 servings of 1 to 2 treats per serving.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 day.
Freeze in small batches.
