Salmon Bone Broth Gummies
If your dog goes wild for salmon and slurps up every last drop of bone broth, this recipe is about to become a staple in your kitchen. Salmon bone broth gummies combine two of the most popular “superfoods” in the dog-treat world — omega-3-rich salmon and collagen-packed bone broth — into a chewy, mess-free treat that’s as easy to make as it is to love. With only three ingredients and about 10 minutes of hands-on time, this is one of the simplest homemade dog treats you can make.
Our dogs loved these gummies and I added them to their breakfast bowls for a tasty treat and a collagen boost! With 4 dogs, these didn’t last long so I find myself already in need of making another batch.

Why Salmon Bone Broth Gummies Are So Good for Dogs
As well as being easy to make, this recipe stacks up nutritionally in several ways:
- Omega-3 fatty acids from salmon support skin and coat health, reduce inflammation, and may help with joint mobility, especially in senior dogs.
- Collagen and gelatin from bone broth are known to support joint, gut, and skin health, and gelatin is what gives these treats their signature chewy “gummy” texture without any added sugar.
- High protein, low filler. Unlike many packaged treats, there’s no wheat, corn, or artificial flavoring — just real food.
- Hydration boost. Bone broth adds moisture, which can be a gentle way to encourage picky or dehydrated dogs to take in more fluids.
- Easy on sensitive stomachs. Because the ingredient list is so short, these gummies are a great option for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies to common treat fillers.

Why Your Dog Will Love These Gummies
Dogs naturally love the savory flavor of salmon, and bone broth makes these treats even more irresistible. Their soft, chewy texture makes them easy to eat, whether you’re rewarding a puppy learning new commands or offering a gentle treat to an older dog.
They’re also mess-free, bite-sized, and perfect for keeping in the refrigerator for quick rewards throughout the week.

How To Make Salmon Bone Broth Gummies
This is an easy and fun recipe to make. You can use any silicone mold or ice cube trays to make. I liked the different shapes, but that is more for me, the dogs just care about the flavor!

Blend cooked salmon and bone broth.

Heat gently and whisk in gelatin.

Pour into silicone molds.

Chill in the fridge until firm.
Recipe Tips
- Use cooked salmon that has been baked, steamed, or poached without seasonings.
- Double-check for small bones before blending.
- Silicone molds make it much easier to remove the finished gummies.
- For training treats, use mini silicone molds.
- If the mixture begins setting while pouring, gently warm it again.
- Add a teaspoon of finely chopped parsley for fresh breath if your dog enjoys it.
Storage Instructions
Because these gummies contain cooked salmon and bone broth, they should always be kept chilled.
Refrigerator
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Because they’re gelatin-based, they’ll soften at room temperature, so it’s best to serve them straight from the fridge.
Freezer
Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Defrost overnight in the refrigerator or serve frozen as a cool treat on warm days if your dog enjoys frozen snacks.
Storage Tips
- Keep the gummies refrigerated until serving.
- Do not leave them at room temperature for more than 1 to 2 hours.
- Discard any gummies that develop an unusual smell, mold, or a slimy texture.

Serving Size
Depending on the size of your silicone molds, this recipe makes approximately 24 to 36 small gummies or 12 to 16 larger treats. These gummies are intended as an occasional treat and should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s daily calorie intake.
As a general guide:
| Dog Size | Daily Serving |
|---|---|
| Under 10 lbs (4.5 kg) | 1 gummy |
| 10–20 lbs (4.5–9 kg) | 1–2 gummies |
| 20–50 lbs (9–23 kg) | 2–3 gummies |
| 50–90 lbs (23–41 kg) | 3–5 gummies |
| Over 90 lbs (41 kg) | Up to 6 gummies |
Adjust the serving based on the size of your molds and your dog’s overall diet.
