These Salmon Sweet Potato Pupcakes are soft, savory dog-friendly muffins made with wholesome ingredients like canned salmon, sweet potato purée, oat flour, and applesauce. Packed with protein, omega-3s, and fiber, they’re perfect for special occasions or everyday treats. Easy to make, freeze well, and totally pup-approved!
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease with a bit of coconut oil or olive oil.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned salmon (including the liquid), sweet potato purée, applesauce and egg. Mix well to break up the salmon and combine everything evenly.
Gradually mix in the oat flour, stirring until a thick batter forms. If the batter feels too dry, add a spoonful of water or a little more applesauce. If it's too wet, add a bit more oat flour.
Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the tops are lightly golden.
Let the pupcakes cool completely before serving to your dog.
