Recipe Tips
- Choose the Right Salmon: Always use canned salmon packed in water with no added salt, spices, or oils. Check the label to ensure it’s safe for pets.
- Make Them Smaller: Use mini silicone molds or small ice cube trays to create bite-sized portions that are easier for your cat to eat.
- Add a Touch of Variety: If your cat enjoys a little variety, you can occasionally blend in a teaspoon of plain pumpkin puree or a few catnip leaves for extra flavor and benefits.
- For Sensitive Stomachs: If your cat is new to fish treats, start with a small serving to see how they tolerate it.
- Use a Squeeze Bottle: Pouring the mixture into molds can get messyโtransfer it to a squeeze bottle to make filling the molds easier and neater.
- Keep It Clean: Always wash your molds and utensils thoroughly after handling fish to avoid any lingering odors or bacteria.

Storage
Store the frozen salmon treats in an airtight container or zip-top freezer bag for up to 2 months in the freezer. Serve straight from the freezerโno thawing needed! A great treat when the sun suddenly comes out and turns up the heat!
