Plus, it’s made with real, wholesome ingredients you can feel good about giving your pup-no added sugars or artificial flavors, just simple goodness in every bite!

Ingredients

Just 2 ingredients make this tasty dog treat recipe.

A bowl of chopped mango and a bowl of Greek yogurt are placed on a white marble surface, each labeled with their name.
  • Mango – is a juicy tropical fruit that’s safe for dogs in moderation and full of nutritional benefits. It’s rich in vitamins A, C, and E which support immune health, skin and vision. Mango also contains fiber and antioxidants, making it a naturally sweet and healthy treat. Always remove the pit and skin before serving, as these parts are not safe for dogs.
  • Plain Greek Yogurt – adds a creamy texture and a boost of protein and probiotics to support your dog’s digestive health. It’s lower in lactose than regular yogurt, making it easier for most dogs to tolerate. Be sure to use plain, unsweetened yogurt with no added flavors, sugars or artificial sweeteners (especially xylitol, which is toxic to dogs).

How To Make Mango Dog Ice Cream

This is an easy ice cream recipe to make in a blender.

A glass blender jar containing mango chunks and yogurt sits on a white blender base on a kitchen counter.

Place ingredients in a blender and blitz.

A glass container filled with a thick, yellow mixture or batter sits on a speckled countertop.

Pour into a container and freeze.

Recipe Tips

  • For a softer texture, use a ripe mango that blends smoothly.
  • Use silicone molds or ice cube trays for easy portioning.
  • For an extra flavor twist, blend in a little banana or a spoonful of peanut butter (xylitol-free).
  • If your dog has dairy sensitivities, swap the Greek yogurt for a dog-safe dairy-free yogurt such as unsweetened coconut yogurt.
  • We use fresh mangos but you could use frozen mangoes too.

Storage Tips

Store the mango ice cream in an airtight container or mold in the freezer for up to 2 months. Just let it sit for a minute or two before serving so it’s not too hard for your pup to enjoy.
