Whether served as a treat, part of a meal, or a special reward, your pup will be begging for more.
Ingredients
Just natural ingredients and no flour make these tasty savory salmon dog treats.

Salmon – A fantastic source of omega-3 fatty acids, which help support your dog’s skin, coat, joints, and immune system.
Egg – Adds protein and helps bind the muffins together.
Zucchini – A low-calorie veggie rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C.
Cauliflower – Low in carbs and high in fiber and vitamins, this adds moisture and lightness to the muffins. Cook the cauliflower mash ahead and do not season it.
Olive oil – A healthy fat that adds flavor and supports heart health.
Parsley – Not only freshens breath but also contains vitamins A and C and can aid digestion.
How To Make Salmon Zucchini Dog Muffins
We use silicone muffin liners but you could make this in a 1lb loaf tin too. The salmon is baked in the oven first but if you use canned salmon, you can skip this step.

Add cooked salmon to a bowl with the other ingredients.

Mix well.

Spoon into muffin cases.

Bake until firm.
Recipe Tips & Variations
- Use canned salmon (in water, no salt added) as a shortcut if fresh salmon isn’t available.
- Add a tablespoon of coconut flour if the mixture feels too wet.
- Replace parsley with chopped fresh dill or a pinch of turmeric for variety.
- Shape into patties and bake on a tray if you don’t have a muffin tin.
Storage & Freezing Tips
To keep these muffins fresh and safe for your pup:
Refrigerator: Store the cooled muffins in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Since they contain fish and vegetables, refrigeration is important to prevent spoilage.
Freezer: For longer storage, place the muffins in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container. They’ll keep well for up to 3 months.
Tip: Label the bag with the date so you know when to use them by.
Serving from Frozen: Thaw muffins in the fridge overnight or at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving. You can also warm them slightly in the microwave (just a few seconds) if your dog prefers soft treats.
Always check for any signs of spoilage like mold or an off smell before serving.
