Can Dogs Eat Peaches?

Yes—dogs can eat fresh peaches in moderation. They are a good source of vitamins A and C, plus fibre, which can support overall health.

However, there are a few important safety rules:

  • Always use fresh, ripe peaches
  • Remove the pit completely (it is toxic and a choking hazard)
  • Avoid canned peaches due to added sugar or syrup

When prepared properly, peaches make a safe and naturally sweet addition to homemade dog treats.

  • Nutrient absorption

For dogs, always choose:

  • Plain, unsweetened kefir

Why your dog will love it

This doggie ice cream is:

  • Naturally sweet and fruity
  • Creamy and smooth in texture
  • Cooling for hot days
  • Easy to lick and digest
  • Made with simple, wholesome ingredients

It also doubles as enrichment when served in a lick mat or slow feeder, helping to keep dogs mentally engaged. Our dogs loved this. They have not experienced a lot of peaches so we were introducing them gradually to them. Some of our dogs can be picky with fruit but peaches gets the paws up approval!
