  • Blueberries โ€“ A natural source of antioxidants, vitamins C and K and fiber for a healthy immune system. Fresh or frozen can be used.
  • Oat flour โ€“ A great gluten-free flour alternative thatโ€™s gentle on sensitive stomachs. We make our own oat flour which is easy. Other dog friendly flours such as rice flour or coconut flour can be substituted.
  • Pumpkin puree โ€“ Full of fiber and beta-carotene, pumpkin helps support digestion and a shiny coat. If you use canned, ensure that it is unsweetened and does not have any spices.
  • Egg โ€“ A protein powerhouse that also helps bind the ingredients together for a perfect texture.

Recipe Tips

โœ” Use fresh or frozen blueberries โ€“ If using frozen, let them thaw and drain excess moisture.
โœ” Make it crunchy or soft โ€“ For a crunchier texture, bake for an additional 5 minutes.

โœ” Mixing two colored doughs โ€“ when mixing the dough, we add more flour to the pumpkin mixture as itโ€™s more moist. Add more flour if required.

โœ” Chill the Dough โ€“ If the dough is too soft, refrigerate it for 15 minutes before rolling.
โœ” Even Thickness โ€“ Try to roll both dough ropes to the same thickness for a uniform twist.
