Ground turkey – Lean and high in protein, ground turkey is a great alternative to beef and helps support muscle development and energy levels.

Pumpkin puree helps keep the meatloaf moist and is a great vegetable for dogs. When using canned pumpkin puree DO NOT use pumpkin pie filling. Check the labels for any ingredients unsuitable for dogs.

Broccoli – A super veggie packed with vitamins A, C, and K, along with fiber and antioxidants.

    Hello Angela
just wanted to say a huge thankyou for the recipes,
we have no problems with him eating now, plate cleared every meal time,
I was just wondering if the meat loaf could be cooked in the slow cooker, and what setting would be best, it would be great if it could be, I am going to try the stew next but have no worries about him eating it.
thankyou again for some super recipes
    Cathy.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words! I have not tried this in a slow cooker but would guess that you could make it at high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 until meatloaf reaches internal temperature of 160 degrees. Glad your dog enjoys the recipes as much as mine do!

      1. My 65 lb dig had tplo surgery last week and I couldn’t get her to eat. I tried this recipe and now she will not eat anything else.thank u so much

My dog had tplo surgery last week and I couldn’t get her to eat. I came across your recipe for turkey meatloaf and tried it. She absolutely loves it. However I couldn’t find pumpkin puree so I used some canned pure pumpkin. She’s always been picky however not today! Thank u so much I will be trying more of your recipes.

  3. My beagle absolutely loves this meatloaf. NOTE: I supplement his kibble with 1 tbsp of meatloaf. He does the happy dance at meal time when he smells it reheating (12 seconds in the microwave). I make two mini loaves and after cooking and cooling, I cut into tablespoon-sizes servings. I then keep enough in the fridge for 4 days, about 8 tbsp, and freeze the rest to take out as needed. (I also added 1/2 tsp. of organic thyme to the recipe for extra flavor.)

    1. Awh! I adore the happy dance! Delighted he loves it! I like the idea of mini loaves too! Thanks for the tip!
